Introducing Aimee, our new Waikato-based Property Manager

The Point Property team recently welcomed Aimee Grant as our Waikato-based Property Manager. Aimee brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked as a Property Manager for two Hamilton property management agencies, where she built a strong track record of delivering excellent service to property owners and tenants alike.

We sat down with Aimee and asked her a few questions about her career and why she chose to work with Point.

How long have you been a residential property manager?

I’ve been a property manager for nearly six years now, with all my experience based in the Hamilton and Waikato regions.

Was there a moment or experience that made you want to get into residential property management? Did you ever consider commercial?

Funnily enough, I actually started in commercial as a Commercial Leasing Specialist. That role was short-lived, as I fell pregnant and decided to move into something more stable with a regular income before going on maternity leave. (I’ll admit—I didn’t love the environment… maybe it was the team!) I knew I wanted to stay in the real estate industry in some way, and a hybrid residential property manager role came up. I took the opportunity—and I’ve never looked back.

What do you most enjoy about working with tenants and landlords?

I love the daily interaction with different people, and the fact that no two days are the same. One day you might be navigating a complex issue, the next you’re having a friendly chat with an owner about their plans. It keeps you thinking, helps sharpen your skills, and definitely keeps you on your toes. It’s dynamic and rewarding—even when it’s challenging.

What attracted you to the role at Point Property Management, and what do you look forward to the most in your new role?

I’m really looking forward to the growth opportunities at Point—both within the company and in terms of my own professional development. I’m also excited to be part of a collaborative team that shares the same goals and a strong growth mindset.
